Description

Monitor Technician Job Duties

This role involves serving the hospital patient population by monitoring cardiac rhythms/capnography and recognizing changes in regularity, configuration, and rate of rhythm. The individual will accurately document and communicate monitored recordings and provide exceptional patient care.

This position requires strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal relationship skills, as well as the ability to sit observing monitoring for extended periods of time.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor patient data and recognize changes in regularity, configuration, and rate of rhythm.
Accurately document and communicate monitored recordings.
Deliver patient care as directed, including transfers, ambulation, feeding, dressing, bathing, weighing, and toileting.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of basic ECG principles and be able to interpret cardiac rhythms and other parameters. Current BLS certification is required, and experience in an ambulatory or inpatient healthcare setting is highly desirable.
