This position starts out at $16.45 and up, depending on experience.
**JOB SUMMARY**
This job has primary responsibility for assisting in scheduling and dispatching aggregate deliveries Company-wide. Duties may include using radio, telephone, or computer to transmit assignments, compiling statistics and reporting on work progress. Provides customer service face to face interaction and over the phone. Tickets and weighs trucks in a fast-paced environment. Work schedule during summer months is expected to be 40-50 hours per week with some Saturday shifts required. This is a seasonal position with a winter layoff and a spring recall.
**EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS**
High school diploma or General Education Degree required.
Ability to use basic office equipment, including computer, fax machine, photocopier and 10-key calculator
Ability to provide and maintain proper driving license and acceptable driving record.
**DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES**
Assist with scheduling and dispatch workers, work crews, equipment, or service vehicles to appropriate locations according to customer requests, specifications, or needs, using radios or telephones.
Advise personnel about traffic problems such as construction areas, accidents, congestion, weather conditions, and other hazards.
Answering the phone.
Confer with customers or supervising personnel to address questions, problems, and requests for service or equipment.
Determine types or amounts of equipment, vehicles, materials, or personnel required according to work orders or specifications.
Monitor personnel or equipment locations and utilization to coordinate service and schedules.
Oversee all communications within specifically assigned territories.
Prepare daily work and run schedules.
Receive or prepare work orders.
Record and maintain files and records of customer requests, work or services performed, charges, expenses, inventory, and other dispatch information.
Relay work orders, messages, and information to or from work crews, supervisors, and field inspectors using telephones or two-way radios.
Approaches others in a tactful manner; Reacts well under pressure; Treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position; Accepts responsibility for own actions; Follows through on commitments.
Assist with cleaning scale house including the restrooms.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Typical hours during Production season are M-F 7am-5pm. Every third Saturday 8am-Noon.
