    • Lynn, MADescriptionJOB SUMMARYReporting to the Materials Handler Lead, provides continuous and efficient operation of the material handling and issuing process, as well as all subsequent inventory transactions.

    ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITESAdheres to safe working practices at all timesPerforms daily checks of area for non-compliance and reports them to managerRetrieves and scans out raw materials from coolers to productionCommunicates and resolves LPN variancesFollows the company GMPsEnsures clean and tidy work areas at all timesPlans ahead for all activities to reduce downtimeTracks completed transactions via Material Requirements ReportCompletes cycle-counts when requiredCommunicates and updates all relevant parties of any issues or changesTakes active lead with new employees and temporary labor; cross-trains other employees and answers quesitons from co-workers, but is not responsible for performance managementEncourages colleagues to challenge the status quo and drive continuous improvementTakes instructions from supervisorsAny other tasks deemed reasonable and reasonably requested by managementCommunicates an end of shift / Hands-off to the next shiftCleans and checks equipment at end of shiftLEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITYWorks under general supervision.

    Position is not responsible for influencing the decisions or actions of others.
    Position has little to no contact with customers.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESCross-trains other employees and answers quesitons from co-workers, but is not responsible for performance management.
    SKILL REQUIREDNo formal education is required.
    Requires 1-3 years of experienceOn-the-job training of 0-3 months.
    Basic data entry and simple formatting of documents.

    Physical Demands/EffortsWork requires continious physical exertion including lifting of objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
    Mental & Visual DemandsWork performed by this position requires moderate mental concentration to effectively execute moderately complex tasks.
    Work occasionally requires some degree of visial effort for periods of time.

    Work Environment and HazardsEmployee works in a manufacturing setting with frequent exposure to heat/cold, dust, or other factors that may require protective equiptment and still pose a hazard.

    This position has regular exposure to hazards that could result in siginficant injury and lengthy loss of time at work.

    Travel is not required for this position.
