    Loan Operations Specialist

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Loan Operations Specialist to join our team. This vital role involves loan preparation, documentation, funding, onboarding, and servicing to ensure a seamless experience for our clients. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance with Bank Star's Loan Policy and regulatory guidelines.     Key Responsibilities:

    • Gather all necessary pre-closing documentation, including flood letters, title work, appraisals, entity documents, corporate searches, and credit bureau reports.
    • Complete internal checklists to ensure adherence to regulations and internal policies accurately for all loan requests.
    • Review all pre-closing documentation meticulously.
    • Process funding instructions efficiently according to deal specifics.
    • Record and ensure collateral perfection to safeguard our clients' interests.
    • Monitor and assist in resolving exception items effectively.
    • Maintain data integrity throughout all loan processes.
    • Verify that loan documentation complies with relevant federal and state regulations, as well as Bank's policies and procedures.
    • Prepare loan documentation using LaserPro, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
    • Review closed loan packages to confirm that no unauthorized changes were made at closing.
    • Book loans into the core banking system promptly.
    • Manage loan payments, payoffs, extensions, and renewals efficiently.
    • Process incoming and outgoing wire transfers and ACH entries accurately.
    • Perform comprehensive loan servicing, balancing, and reporting processes.
    • Complete lien perfection with attention to detail.
    • Support internal clients with product and servicing process inquiries.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve client loan issues promptly.
    • Recognize product exceptions and collaborate with supervisors on resolutions.
    • Fulfill all required compliance training and adhere to applicable regulations and policies.
    • Imaging of loan files and maintaining a tickler system for loans.
    • Carry out additional duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    - High school diploma required; previous banking experience preferred.
    - Minimum of five years of related experience, with comprehensive knowledge of regulatory requirements for various loan types.
    - Experience in general loan accounting transactions and commercial loan operations.
    - Strong independent thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
    - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
    - Preferred software experience: LaserPro, XE Horizon (core), CSI (core), Meridian Link Mortgage.
    - Excellent spelling, grammar, and interpersonal skills for effective communication.
    - Ability to prioritize tasks and manage diverse responsibilities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    - Detail-oriented and well-organized.
