JOB DESCRIPTION
General Statement of Duties
To ensure the highest level of service possible to internal and external customers. To serve customers, prepare sandwiches, keep deli supplies stocked and organized, and assist in keeping area clean.
Under general direction from the Deli Manager, the Deli Clerk performs a variety of duties and provides support in day-to-day operations of the Deli.

Ensure efficient, informative, and friendly service according to established customer service vision and standard.
Assist as needed.
This will include but is not limited to sandwiches and other items that can be made at the service counter.
Ensure deli case and salad bar is clean, stocked, rotated, garnished and appealing to customers during entire shift.Perform all established opening/closing duties.
Assist other clerks/cooks as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
Communicates respectfully at all times.
Does not expose customers to internal disagreements.
Resolves conflicts respectfully and in a timely manner, asks for assistance from appropriate supervisor as needed.
Checks mailbox and/or email regularly.
Participates actively in department team and all staff meetings
Wears protective clothing as required for position.
Understands and utilizes safe lifting procedures and proper step stools.
This is a part-time position. Incumbent must have the ability to work flexible hours including holidays, evenings, and weekends, if needed. Participation in City sponsored special events, trainings, or meetings may be required.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
Individual will work mostly indoors and be able to work a flexible schedule.

General and specific assignments are received and are usually under little direct supervision allowing latitude for use of independent judgment.
Minimum QualificationsRequired high school diploma or equivalent GED. Valid Texas Driver's License. Able to obtain Food Handler's Permit.
