Job Summary:
GWS Tool Group seeks a self-directed, highly motivated individual to support the Quality Assurance/EHS Department. You will work with the Quality Assurance & EHS teams in this role. Supporting the day-to-day activities that each group needs to ensure the overall success of GWS.
You will be a crucial figure interacting with all GWS sites throughout North America and Walter Tool and Sandvik (Parent Company) teams.
In this role, you will be seen as an expert in the Business Management System and using the QCBD Enterprise Software system.
You will work to support all GWS sites with all QEHS activities, including audits, internal and external, and Corrective Action Support.
ResponsibilitiesSupport the GWS Tool Group Quality Assurance Department to meet each group's QA/EHS/ requirements.
Ensure that business is conducted in accordance with the Sandvik and GWS Tool Group Code of Conduct
Work to continually improve Quality and EHS awareness and culture.
Work as the QCBD (Business Management System Software of record) Administrator and Super User
Review and transfer documentation from all GWS Tool Group sites into the QCBD document control system.
Create and maintain training material for the QEHS Department; this includes QA/EHS/Compliance/Continual Improvement
Support EHS initiatives by reporting to Walter/Sandvik and regulatory bodies
Support developing and administering training classes as needed for the QEHS Dept.
Participate in QEHS audits when requested to provide evidence of activities of the quality assurance department.
Manage compliance requests for customers and regulatory bodies.
Work with individual GWS sites on training requirements and update the training matrix for QA and EHS requirements.
Create scheduled and ad hoc reports for presentation to internal/external parties.
Qualifications/Skills
High School diploma or equivalent required
Associate Degree or higher in Business or related field (preferred).
Familiarity with ISO standards (preferred)
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required
Excellent communication skills in speaking/writing
Comfortable speaking and presenting to external and internal team members.
High level of Attention to Detail
Proficient with writing grammar, spelling
Ability to work with members of all levels within the GWS organization.
Experience with QCBD (Quality Collaboration by Design) software desired
Occasional Travel is required within the US and Canada
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds at a time.
