Job DescriptionKavalirohas an opening for a Software Tester who will work as part of a small test team performing Performance/Regression/Automated testing on software applications in varying stages of deployment (from emerging technologies to legacy systems).This position requires knowledge of modern automated testing methodologies and technologies.
The person in this role will be responsible for manual testing when the coding of an automated solution is impractical or not desirable.
As the technology stack expands and grows, our team of testers will be required to work with the application developers to support performance/load testing to fully evaluate the application capabilities.
Required Experience:
16+ years of relevant experience or 13+years with a Bachelors DegreeExperience with API testing through SwaggerExperience with SQL queries for data validation (Oracle, Postgres)
Expert in Selenium WebDriver as well as other automated testing technologies such as Katalon Studio and CucumberEmphasis of experience must be in the area of writing automated code (Java) as opposed to simply click and recordMust be able to evaluate developer assignments, independently understand requirements, and engineer tests to evaluate best path scenario as well as probe for possible failure conditionsMust know to use an IDE to code (ex IntelliJ, Eclipse, NetBeans)Experience with interacting in a Linux environment (ex - Bash scripting, VI)Expertise in writing test plans, cases, procedures, scripts, and scenariosDemonstrated history with manual and automated test processesAbility to work well in a constantly evolving work environmentEnsure the QA and testing approach references all known vulnerabilities and best practicesConduct and report testing using a repeatable process based on industry best practicesMaintain and update the test environmentHands on experience with JMeterPreferred Experience:
Experience testing complex systems with external integration pointsExperience with unit test frameworks such as Junit, Mockito, Swagger, and PostmanMust work well in a group environment and collaborate with team membersFamiliarity with Source code management and integration (ex - GitHub/GitLab, Jenkins)
Experience in an Agile environmentLocation:
Herndon, VAThis position is onsite and there is no remote availability
