    Job Listing:

    We are looking for a FULL-TIME School Social Worker to join our In School Social Worker Program (ISSWP) at St. John the Baptist Catholic School in Kenmore, NY.

    JOB SUMMARY:

    The School Social Worker will provide services to elementary/middle school students, families, and school staff. Responsibilities include social emotional learning instruction, counseling, crisis intervention, and referral services. This full-time position at St. John the Baptist Catholic School is expected to start on August 19, 2024.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Adhere to Catholic Charities' mission and policies
    • Provide social emotional learning to at-risk students
    • Deliver trauma-informed care
    • Promote diversity and respect
    • Offer staff development services
    • Strengthen family-school-community partnerships
    • Track services and demographics
    • Participate in meetings and events
    • Perform crisis intervention and safety planning

    EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field; Master's degree preferred; relevant experience accepted

    SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Travel required - valid NYS driver license and auto insurance
    • Flexible schedule for agency-related activities
