Hey, g'day, mabuhay, kia ora,你好, hallo, vítejte
Thanks for stopping by. We know job hunting can be a little time consuming and you're probably keen to find out what's on offer, so we'll get straight to the point.
Where and how you can work
Our flagship office is in Sydney, Australia, but we've made our way from down under, to hubs in Austin and San Francisco, which are now home to our US operations. So whether you're in Texas or California, you have choice in where and how you work in each of those states. That means if you want to do your thing in the office (if you're near one), at home or a bit of both, it's up to you.
What you'd be doing in this role
As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.
At the moment, this role is focused on:

    • Market Research: Conduct extensive market research to understand B2B trends, customer behaviors, and preferences. Analyse market dynamics, industry reports, and customer feedback to find opportunities and challenges.
    • Competitor Analysis: Conduct thorough competitor analysis to assess the strengths, weaknesses, and strategies of key competitors in the SaaS industry. Identify competitive advantages and gaps to inform our market positioning.
    • Customer Insights: Capture insights on enterprise customers through surveys, interviews, and data analysis. Understand their difficulties, preferences, and decision-making processes. Translate insights into actionable recommendations.
    • Trend Monitoring: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and market disruptions. Analyse their potential impact on Canva's B2B offerings and recommend proactive strategies.
    • Custom Research Projects: Design and implement custom research projects to answer specific business questions related to market segmentation, product feedback, and customer satisfaction. Present findings in a clear and compelling manner.
    • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product marketing, sales, and customer success, to ensure research findings are integrated into strategic planning and marketing campaigns.

    You're probably a match if:

    • Experience: You have a minimum 3 years of experience in B2B market research, preferably in the SaaS industry. Proven track record of conducting qualitative and quantitative research projects, with a focus on enterprise customers.
    • Analytical Skills: You possess exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets, draw important insights, and translate them into actionable recommendations.
    • Research Methods: You have demonstrated proficiency in various research methodologies, including surveys, interviews, data analysis, and competitive analysis. Experience with tools and platforms for market research is a plus.
    • Industry Knowledge: You possess deep understanding of the B2B SaaS landscape, including key players, market trends, and customer needs. Familiarity with enterprise-level software solutions and challenges.
    • Communication: You have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to convey complex research findings in a clear and concise manner, making data-motivated recommendations to collaborators.
    • Curiosity: You have highly developed curiosity and passion for uncovering insights. Proactive approach to exploring new research methods and tools to enhance the depth and quality of research projects.
