- Bachelors degree in life sciences or Associate degree with completion of a Licensed Practical Nurse, Operating Room Technician, Mortician, or another life science program.
- Knowledge of aseptic technique, Human Anatomy and Physiology, and clinical experience in the medical field.
- Self-driven and capable of meeting demanding schedules.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively.
- Assist in preparing the tissue recovery room and the donor for the recovery process.
- Follow aseptic technique during all aspects of tissue recovery.
- Support in collection, culturing, packaging, labeling, and shipping of tissues.
- Contribute to donor reconstruction and disposition post-procurement.
- Maintain cleanliness and functionality of the tissue recovery suite.
- Keep accurate records of tissue recovery and fulfill assigned shifts.
- Perform other duties as directed by the supervisor.
- Seek guidance from designated personnel when faced with unfamiliar situations.
- Travel: Use of private vehicle for transportation may be necessary to fulfill duties.

General Statement (Summary of duties and responsibilities):
The PRN Tissue Recovery Technician is responsible for supporting the tissue donation process, including recovery, packaging, and shipment of tissues. The technician maintains a positive relationship between MORA Tissue Services and the medical community. On-call and weekend duties are part of the role.
