As an intern you will participate in our nationwide Internship & Co-Op Program, LEAP, where you will have the opportunity to Learn, Engage, Apply, and Progress within the company. This position is for a part time summer internship located in Louisville, KY. This intern will be working under the guidance of the Materials Manager and is responsible for assisting the Material Handling and Inventory Control department in documentation of work instructions and assisting in projects related to inventory control.
As a Material Control Intern, you will:

Become familiar with material and data flow within the production environment
Gain an understanding of the data structure and functionality of production modules within Oracle
Work side-by-side with Engineering, Supply Chain, Production and other support functions
Support projects for improving material flow infrastructure as directed

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

Proof of US Persons required
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program pursuing a degree in Logistics & Planning, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Industrial Management, or related fields
Basic knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of a relevant technical field of specialization
Basic computer proficiency
Work under direct supervision and follow standard procedures to accomplish assigned tasks
Communicate effectively by phone, email, in writing, and in person
Effectively work with others
Attention to detail

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

Completion of at least four semesters toward a Bachelor's degree
Coursework related to production planning, supply chain, or similar disciplines
Previous work-related experience in materials / planning

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $ $54800

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

Temporary employees generally are not eligible for BAE Systems benefits, but can elect to participate in the 401(k) savings plan. Temporary employees working 20+ hours per week are eligible for medical benefits, the employee assistance program, and business travel accident insurance.
