    POSITION: Customer Service Representative (CSR)

    REPORTS TO: Office/Branch Manager

    LOCATION: Visalia, CA

    SALARY: $17.00 to $20.00/ per hour, DOE

    JOB SUMMARY:

    Responsibilities include: Working closely with Office Manager and /or Branch Manager to ensure consistent standard of customer service by answering phones promptly, courteously and direct as appropriate. Confirm and monitor purchase orders status for their accuracy and timeliness, track freight and associated charges, and other duties to assist as needed.

    PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Promptly answer all incoming calls politely and friendly and learn how to properly distribute calls to the appropriate individuals.
    • Ability to maintain a high level of attention to detail and accuracy relating to duties.
    • Match daily supplier pack slips and invoices against purchase orders for accuracy.
    • Acknowledge confirmations for all purchase orders, drop ship confirmations, freight charge confirmation and assist with supplier returns.
    • Document notes for expected lead times, freight charges, etc. on purchase orders.
    • Identify supplier changes in expected promise dates and notify appropriate personnel.
    • File completed supplier purchase orders, packing slips, and customer proof of deliveries.
    • Maintain accurate and detailed information derived from customer calls.
    • Maintain contact and friendly relationships with suppliers and customers, building a favorable company image and resolving problems and complaints as they arise.
    • Other special projects, implementations and tasks as assigned.
    • Always maintain confidentiality of all verbal and/or documented customer information.
    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE)
    • High School Diploma with one to two years related CSR experience.
    • Experience with phone systems, ability to multitask phone traffic.
    • Comprehensive skills with Microsoft Office Programs: Excel, Outlook, and Word.
    • Willing to participate in drug/alcohol/background screening.
    • Ability to work in fast paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle and prioritize multiple, competing tasks and demands.
    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
    • Interpersonal skills necessary to handle sensitive customer situations.
    • Excellent ability to communicate and interact with customers and with all levels of company personnel.
