    Description

    Job Type: Contract, possible permanent position

    • An employer in the northern suburbs of Chicago is looking for a Medical Dosimetrist for a potential contract-to-hire opportunity at a large hospital within a broader health system serving patients across the Chicagoland region.
    • Reporting to the Radiation Oncology department, this role involves implementing and maintaining departmental policies to ensure top-notch patient care.
    • Primary responsibilities include creating precise computerized radiation treatment plans, with a focus on patient safety and treatment effectiveness, and actively participating in projects aimed at enhancing patient outcomes.
    • Additional tasks may involve contributing to clinical initiatives for the adoption of innovative practices.
    • The health system has openings at different hospitals, one requiring Varian experience and the other Elekta experience (ideally Elekta Monaco, but open to candidates willing to learn).
    • Both positions are full-time, onsite roles with working hours from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm.

    Requirements:

    • Board Certified Medical Dosimetrist
    • Experience with Varian, Elekta Monaco, or Elekta Mosaiq
    • 2+ years of CMD experience or prior experience as a Radiation Therapist (for recent graduates)
    • Ability to work onsite in the Chicagoland area

    Nice to have:

    • ARRT certification in Radiation Oncology
    • Experience with both Elekta Monaco and Varian
