    Position Overview:
    Seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a fast-paced acute care setting. This unit manages high-risk obstetrics, C-sections, and triage. Travelers must be confident working independently and comfortable with a high-acuity L&D environment.


    Unit Details:
    Beds: 14 total

    5 triage/inpatient beds

    6 labor beds

    2 OR beds

    Ratios follow AWHONN guidelines

    OR cases:
    Nurses expected to scrub for C-sections

    Floating:
    Tasking in OB or Nursery (no patient assignments when floating)

    No holiday requirements for travelers

    Schedule

    Requirements:
    Every 3rd weekend (3 weekend shifts in a 4-week period)


    Requirements:
    Minimum 2 years of recent L&D experience

    BSN required

    Certifications:
    BLS (AHA), ACLS, NRP, RN-C

    High-risk OB experience required

    Strong labor assessment skills

    Must perform cervical exams and full patient assessments

    Cannot place IUPC


    Preferred:
    NCC RNC-OB (Preferred but not required)

    Epic experience


    Technology/Systems:

    EMR:
    Meditech and GE

    Must document across two systems


    Additional Notes:
    Charge nurses typically do not take patients

    Highly customer service focused unit

    Must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment

    No IV team; full patient care responsibilities

    In-house coverage available 3 nights per week
