JOB PURPOSE:

Performsand leads modality daily operations and provides leadershiprelative to the assigned area. Promotes and advocates imagingservices by remaining abreast of the latest changes in technologyand equipment.

The Lead Radiological Technologist ensuresaccreditations standards are maintained as well as performs avariety of tasks involving the operation of X-Ray equipment andother equipment/devices as appropriate.

Works closely withdepartment Managers to ensure that the department is adequatelystaffed for 24/7 coverage.

Qualifications:


MINIMUM EDUCATIONREQUIRED:

Graduate of an accredited A.R.R.T. program. Registered asa Radiological Technologist with the American Registry ofRadiologic Technologists. ARRT (R).

MINIMUM EXPERIENCEREQUIRED:

Four years of imaging technicalexperience
MINIMUM LICENSURE/


CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BYLAW:

Registered by the American Registry of RadiologicTechnologists with certification inradiography.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

BLSCertified
Evidence of leadership, criticalproblem-solving skills, prioritization, and decision-makingskills.
Experience in leadership of personnel.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements
