    Description

    The position will be responsible for implementing the clients' Enterprise Product Security strategy and framework throughout the client orthopedics portfolio:

    • Primary Job Responsibilities:
    • Develop the security strategy, framework, and goals for the orthopedics portfolio of products
    • Design security layouts for new products
    • Create security designs for existing products, including post-marketing studies for medical devices that the FDA may have conditionally approved. Failing to meet any post-marketing requirements could lead to the FDA withdrawing approval.
    • Construct threat models for the products
    • Conduct product penetration testing
    • Provide complete quality documentation
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders on security processes and procedures

    Required Qualifications:

    • A minimum of a BA, MS, and/or advanced degree is preferred
    • A minimum of 6 years of experience in security and/or embedded software engineering roles
    • Immediate expertise in real-time operating systems hardening techniques such as (QNX, Linux, Microsoft Embedded)
    • Familiarity with at least one coding language (C, C++) along with code review exposure
    • Understanding of security testing principles
    • Knowledge of security patching and vulnerability assessments

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Understanding of product or medical device security
    • Background in working with cloud-based IoT management solutions
    • Familiarity with Quality Design Control processes and FDA submission procedures
    • Hold a CISSP, CEH, MCSD, CSSLP, or other security certificate
