    Position Summary 50% - The Executive Assistant will support the Chair of the Department of Health Policy & Management (HPM) in both administrative and faculty roles.

    Support tasks include (but not limited to) correspondence, scheduling, development of presentations, grants, and manuscripts, general management for the Office of Senior Faculty, account and grant management, and general administrative and academic support.

    This Executive Assistant will also act as the liaison between the Senior Faculty and other departments within the University and other institutions.

    45% - The incumbent will be part of the HPM Finance team, supporting the Director of Grants and Finance.

    Support tasks include (but not limited to) assistance with pre-and post-award activities and administration of the Department of Health Policy and Management?s grants portfolio including faculty and staff effort reporting.

    Responsibilities 50% - Administrative support to a senior faculty (Chairman) 45% - Finance Team ? Grant/research portfolio-related activities Grant/research portfolio-related activities Work closely with the Finance/HR team and PIs, assisting in the preparation of sponsor project proposal budgets, bio-sketch/other support page, and various pre-award and production of proposals/submissions while meeting deadlines, as necessary.

    Assist in sponsor project award activities, including maintaining internal tracking of sub-award and purchase order activity, the HPM grants database, monitoring expenses, tracking and collecting validations, attestations, and reporting.

    Coordinate proposal submissions and project set-up with Sponsored Projects Administration (SPA) and post-award activities with Sponsored Projects Finance (SPF).

    5% - Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Bachelor?s degree with a minimum of three years of work experience required; three years of academic administrative or healthcare experience preferred.

    Must be organized, have strong time management, communication, analytical skills, attention to detail, excellent writer, motivated, and a team player and self-starter.

    Flexibility to work different schedules when needed. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with senior management.

    Must be proficient in common business software applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) with advanced skills in Excel including pivot tables and formulas.
