    The Data Engineering and Analytics Team Leader designs, builds, and maintains data structures to enable diverse ministry areas to implement their enterprise data and analytics strategy.

    They will utilize the best in class ETL/ELT tools to develop and manage data pipelines to integrate data from multiple sources for the organization's enterprise data warehouse (EDW).


    Data Engineer Specialists create and maintain standard operating procedures for the CI/CD of data pipelines and the training materials that educate and train business and internal IT staff on data coding standards, unit and QA testing, analytical data models and data architecture diagrams.

    The Kind Of Work You Will Be Doing


    Lead in project planning and management, including the discovery and documentation of requirements for a given project, development, testing as well as learn & maintain proficiency in software platform(s) for designing and delivery of ETL/ELT processes and BI reports/dashboards.

    Lead the creation of dimensional data models, denormalize data from various sources, and optimize models for BI performance in collaboration with BI and data analysts.

    Lead the development of ETL/ELT processes and queries to integrate data from disparate sources, such as Oracle, Postgres, and MySQL databases, into our enterprise data warehouse (EDW).

    Lead the creation of data orchestration solutions to move data from one point to another and coordinate the combining, verifying, and storing of the data for analysis.

    Design, build, and manage end-to-end data pipelines to automate data ingestion, transformation, and loading processes. Monitor pipeline performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize for efficiency and reliability. Develop scalable, reliable, manageable data pipelines.
    Create standard operating procedures and manuals for CI/CD practices for version control of data integrations and BI solutions.
    Lead code reviews to find causes of errors and determine best solutions for resolving those errors.
    Lead critical data projects, directing other data resources/personnel on projects, reviewing work of others, and keeping leadership informed.

    Assist and speak into the data strategy development, data governance and data management in addition to the availability, usability, integrity, retention, and security of the information/data employed throughout the organization.

    Participate in the data governance and data quality capabilities, and implementation of the data architecture and strategy. This includes the defining of business rules/definitions and providing control on how data is to be used enterprise-wide.

    Experience And Skills

    Bachelors Degree preferably in Math, Statistics, Business, Computer Science, or Data Science.
    Preferred Master's in related area.

    • 10 years Data engineering/analysis experience.
