SCI, the leading real estate search firm, is seeking a Director, Multifamily Construction to join a diversified real estate investment manager in Austin, Texas.

This is a highly visible leadership opportunity managing construction projects to enhance the value of multifamily properties. This role will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure projects are on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of value-add/asset upgrade projects from planning to closeout.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and timelines.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and vendors.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety.
• Procure materials and equipment efficiently.
• Resolve project issues proactively and communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.

Qualifications:

• 7-10 years experience in construction management.
• Track record in multifamily/student housing construction.
• Strong subcontractor management skills.
• Excellent project management and communication skills.
• Knowledge of local building codes and construction software.
• PMP certification preferred.

Desirable Qualities:

• Bilingual, willingness to travel, hands-on leadership skills.
