    Description


    Our retail client is looking for a new senior accountant This is a fantastic role with a growing Portland company in a hybrid capacityResponsibilities: Prepare journal entries and accruals for period-end closing.

    Reconcile, adjust and maintain various balance sheet accounts including, but not limited to, accrued payroll, accrued e-commerce fees, accrued other liabilities, and accrued taxes.

    Research and investigate discrepancies. Prepare presentations of financial results and analysis for senior management. Review bank reconciliations and cash management. Oversight and management of companys cash, borrowing position, and bank debt administration. Assist with external audit by preparing and reviewing audit schedules. Manage various projects and systems implementations within Accounting Department. Identify and implement opportunities to streamline processes and enhance the control environment. Research and document relevant accounting issues and present conclusions. Create and maintain accounting policies and procedures. Performs other tasks and duties as assigned.


    Qualifications:


    Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation is preferred.3+ years of progressive experience in accountingIn-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).Proficiency in accounting software and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.

    Strong analytical, communication, and organizational abilities.
    Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, working independently and collaboratively.
