    ABOUT OUR CLIENT

    Our client is a reputable commercial general contractor with a diverse portfolio of commercial/multifamily projects actively seeking an experienced Estimator to join their team.

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    This position will be responsible for developed detailed cost estimates including experience with conceptual estimating for both negotiated and hard bids.

    Select Responsibilities

    • Participate in the preparation of conceptual cost models, budgets and feasibility models based on historical cost data and/or subcontractor input as appropriate
    • Identify and report problems or deficiencies to the Project Manager
    • Analyze Project program, design, costs, and subcontractor input; provide comparisons, cost-saving, and value engineering options
    • Prepare cost analysis by recapitulating material, labor, equipment, subcontractor, and overhead costs occurred in heavy civil industry projects
    • Must have the ability to explain details behind each estimate, including the basis of the man-hours allocated for each task, personnel resources needed to execute each task, etc.
    • Provide estimating review support to the development team

    Prepare project cost estimates from the clients RFQ documents and drawings and any other information learned during the pre-bid showing

    • Maintain lines of communications between company departments, project manager, and client with regards to cost estimating activities

    CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

    • A minimum of two (2) years of construction experience as an estimator
    • A minimum of one (1) year estimating specifically multifamily projects
    • Bachelor's Degree required
    • Strong computer skills, willingness to expand the use of new technologies for scheduling and reports

    WHAT'S ON OFFER

    • Base salary of $80,000 - $105,000 depending on experience
