GENERAL SUMMARY/ OVERVIEW STATEMENT:
The Talkowski Laboratory in the Center for Genomic Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) is seeking a motivated, enthusiastic candidate to join our research group.
Our research group explores the impact of genomic variation on human disease, with a particular focus on neurodevelopment and neuropsychiatric disorders.
We are also dedicated to the development and application of innovations in genome sequencing technology to genetic diagnostics.The candidate will be expected to have extensive experience in the following techniques:
DNA/RNA extraction, PCR/qPCR, gel electrophoresis, iPSC culture, mammalian cell culture, aseptic technique, and CRISPR-Cas9 genome editing.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
EDUCATION:
BA/BS Required; MS preferred
EXPERIENCE:
Requires 3 years of directly related and progressively more responsible experience.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY (if applicable):
May supervise Laboratory Assistants, Technicians and Technologists.
