    At Lakeshore Tennis Camps the Camp Counselor's main role is to help campers have a fun and safe day at camp Camp Counselors spend the summer working with kids of different ages, engaging in a range of fun tennis activities including drills and games A summer to remember for campers and counselors alike

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Include the following: (other duties may be assigned)

    • Ensure a safe and fun environment for kids.
    • Lead and organize group activities and games per the daily schedule.
    • Tennis games consist of skills and drills, fun games, and match play for the older kids.
    • Tennis is the main programming of the day, with recess and swimming included.
    • Support the Tennis Pro in overseeing activities, ensuring lines move quickly, feeding balls, and connecting with each child.
    • Move the group between activities and support in getting lunch and snack organized.
    • Participate in daily camp instructing alongside a group of other dynamic counselors. This is an active role the requires participation in activities.
    • Be a leader in the space, ready to show up with a positive attitude and solution oriented mindset.
    • Daily swimming for a fun swim is required of all staff.

    • Must be an experienced Tennis player.
    • Ability to multi-task and establish priorities
    • Ability to maintain organization in a changing environment.
    • Exhibits initiative, responsibility, flexibility, and leadership.
    • Ability to maintain flexible attitude and approach towards assignments and successfully operate under ambiguous guidelines.

    Education and Experience:

    • Previous experience working with children in various setting.
