    The Civil Certification Engineer - System Safety acts as the primary technical liaison between the certification department and the various engineering teams regarding system safety.

    The job requires experience in designing aircraft systems and a strong understanding of aircraft certification principles. Civil Certification Engineers and assist with certification initiatives as assigned at project level
    Maintain awareness of new regulatory requirements and guidance materials as they are released
    Coordinate certification requirements updates to the engineering team and provide certification inputs as part of the design process
    Contribute to the development and coordination of subject-level certification plans by collaborating with certification and engineering teams
    Support technical meetings between FAA and Supernal personnel as they relate to system safety certification
    Provide assistance to various departments as directed
    Provide technical inputs and checks of certain certification documents
    Partner with PMO organization to implement build plan
    Up to 10% of domestic and international travel
    Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace/Aeronautical, Systems, or industrial Engineering required
    Minimum three (3) years of experience in engineering (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered)
    Experience in working with aircraft systems, components, and system safety analysis
    Experience with document and data organization/management

    Knowledge of industry standards related to aircraft systems and components (ICAO, SAE, RTCA, EUROCAE, etc.), Knowledge of FAA Orders and guidance related to System Safety, including AC 23.

    Knowledge of 14 CFR airworthiness requirements (Parts 23, 25, 27, and/or 29)
    Proficiency with Excel VLOOKUP, pivot tables, MS Office Suite

    Experience in project management preferred
