    Job Summary:

    Responsible for sourcing, selecting, and procuring goods and services that meet the company's quality, cost, and delivery requirements. They research suppliers, negotiate pricing and contracts, and manage purchase orders to ensure timely fulfillment. Purchasing Buyers also monitor inventory levels, analyze material trends, and maintain strong vendor relationships to optimize procurement efficiency. Attention to detail, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to analyze purchasing data are essential for success in this role.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Prepare purchase orders, solicit bid proposals, and review requisitions for goods and services.
    • Interview vendors to learn about products, services, and prices.
    • Monitor and follow applicable laws and regulations.
    • May attend meetings, trade shows, conferences, conventions, and seminars.
    • Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities, and the supplier's reputation and history.
    • Confer with staff, users, and vendors to discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services and determine corrective action.
    • Evaluate and monitor contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and to determine the need for changes.
    • Maintain and review computerized or manual records of items purchased, costs, deliveries, product performance, and inventories.
    • Analyze price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to determine reasonable prices.
    • All other duties as assigned

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • 3-5 or more years' progressive experience
    • Demonstrated understanding of supply chain, planning, and procurement processes within a manufacturing organization
    • ERP system experience
    • Strong computer skills required including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field.
    • NetSuite proficiency

    Physical Requirements:

    • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer in an office setting
    • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time
    • Finger dexterity to support keyboard tasks
    • Occasional time spent outside in a warehouse and storage environment
