Imaging Specialist
Cardiovascular Interventional Lab (CVL) /Interventional Radiology

Position Summary:

A clinical competent Radiographer who performs duties necessary for cardiac catheterization, interventional radiology, and/or pacemaker procedures.

Responsibilities:

Provides pre-procedural care, intraprocedure and post procedure care of patients scheduled for cardiac catheterization & interventional radiology procedures.
Operates Siemen's x-ray/digital equipment (single plane & biplane) & portable c-arm
Assist with IABP insertion, Impella, temporary pacer insertion and emergency transfers.
Surgical scrub assisting physician during invasive/interventional procedures while maintaining sterile field.
May assist with circulating to pull needed equipment/supplies during procedure
Assist with sheath pulls, deployment of closure devices, radial & groin management
Participates in patient transport
Assist with inventory control
Participates in regular on-call coverage
Acquire outpatient ECGs & assist with cardiac device monitor application and report preparation
Assumes professional responsibility, accountability and initiative
Maintain BLS and ACLS certifications.

Required:

Radiologic Licensure, RTR
