    Description

    Job Description

    Position Purpose:

    • Conduct quality assurance, acceptance testing and commissioning of therapy machines and treatment planning systems.
    • Required knowledge of Eclipse Treatment Planning, VariSeed, and Brachyvision treatment planning systems.
    • Responsible for procedures such as 3D-Conformal therapy, IMRT, IGRT, RapidArc, SRS, SBRT, HDR Brachytherapy, patient dose verification, radiation safety, and chart checks.

    Nature and Scope:

    • Directly collaborate with medical staff, nursing staff, and managers to ensure Cancer Center functions and radiation safety measures align with goals.
    • Work with Truebeam unit, Varisource iX HDR system, Philips Big Bore CT simulator, and Eclipse treatment planning system.
    • Utilize imaging modalities like MRI, PET/CT, ultrasound, and nuclear medicine imaging.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

    • In-depth understanding of laws and regulations related to physics and therapeutic services.
    • Ensure quality of radiation delivery by planning and directing a control program.
    • Effective communication skills, organizational abilities, and professionalism.
    • Responsible for meeting patient and medical staff needs at the highest standard.
    • Implement changes to enhance Cancer Center functions and patient care.

    Qualifications:

    • Education: Masters or Doctorate in Medical Physics or related field, knowledge of English language.
    • Experience: Three years as a Medical Physicist in Radiation Therapy department.
    • License(s): Required certification as an Authorized Medical Physicist.
    • Certification(s): Must pass ABR exams and be fully certified in Therapeutic Medical Physics.
