    Office Location: 1801 W. Warner, Suite 202, Chicago IL

    About the Workplace Wellness Cadre

    NAMI Chicago is a leader in Chicago's mental health space, providing training and consulting services on organizational wellness and mental health skills across government, nonprofit, and the private sector. To enable this work, we hire remarkable individuals passionate about improving organizational culture, increasing mental health literacy, and teaching self-care skills to professionals across Chicagoland. Our Workplace Wellness Cadre are independent contractors who support our full-time staff on projects based on their specific expertise.

    We are committed to finding talented individuals to join our Workplace Wellness Cadre. Our registration process begins with an online application, followed by an interview with staff and verification of qualifications, if required. Once registered, we require all staff to complete orientation that includes an overview of NAMI Chicago's strategy and programs; an overview of the applicable processes to manage project work and submit invoices; and a train-the-trainer session on all NAMI workplace wellness trainings for Specialists and Associates.

    Who We Are Looking For:

    We are seeking outgoing and motivated individuals to join our Workplace Wellness Cadre as Workplace Wellness Associates. Associates act at the core of our Cadre, providing training to a wide array of organizations seeking to provide mental health and wellness training to improve the knowledge, skills, and abilities of their employees. Associates are experts on our training material and are excellent facilitators, creating space for people to express themselves and their ideas while in class. We are seeking passionate individuals to raise mental health awareness, increase mental health literacy, and develop self-care skills for professionals.

    Requirements

    Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

    • Facilitate training sessions that are clear, engaging, and interactive on the topics of mental health, wellness, vicarious trauma, building resilience, and self-care

    • Collect participant feedback and evaluation forms at each training and provide them to NAMI Chicago to evaluate the effectiveness of training materials and facilitation

    • Coordinate with clients to ensure training logistics are set up and meet the needs of the training type and content being delivered

    • Attend train-the-trainer sessions at NAMI Chicago

    • Provide insights on training materials and methods to NAMI Chicago when requested and participate in continuous improvement processes

    Qualifications & Requirements:
    • Education: Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Education, Psychology, Counseling, or other related fields OR completion of a Certified Recovery Support Specialist or Certified Peer Support Specialist credential OR certification in a wellness practice
    • Minimum of three years of experience in training or education
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and effectively
    • Ability to travel throughout Cook County to deliver training and services
    • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
    • Computer Skills: Proficiency Microsoft Office 365
    • Proficiency in Internet Explorer, Outlook/Exchange; Windows operating systems; and other software routinely used by NAMI Chicago
    Available Benefits:
