    We've partnered with a local nonprofit organization is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Chief Financial Officer to join their team. The CFO responsibilities include overseeing cash flow planning, directing the preparation of current financial reports and summaries, and create forecasts predicting future growth.

    Responsibilities

    • Directs the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, shareholder reports, tax returns, and governmental agency reports.
    • Compares actual outcomes to forecasts and budgets. Makes or oversees any necessary adjustments.
    • Works with Department heads and stakeholders to develop annual departmental budgets.
    • Ensure all financial operations comply with federal and state laws.
    • Oversees annual audit and 990 filing,
    • Works with the Executive Director, the Board of Directors, and other executives to coordinate planning and establish priorities for the planning process.
    • Oversees investment of funds and works with investment bankers to raise additional capital required for expansion.
    • Forecast return on investment for current and future programs.
    • Track KPIs and analyze trends.
    • Manage payroll process
    • Manage financial requirements for grants
    • Develop and manage the financial requirements for capital campaign in conjunction with fundraising and construction management
    • Oversees accounting functions, budget preparation, and audit functions.

    Requirements

    • Proven work experience as a CFO, preferably in a nonprofit organization
    • Excellent knowledge of data analysis, risk management and forecasting methods
    • Hands-on experience with accounting and financial management software (e.g. NetSuite)
    • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
    • MBA strongly desired
