    Press Brake OperatorInova Staffing Services – Dallas, TXJob descriptionBecome a success story within our Fabrication DepartmentHours: Monday thru Thursday 6:00am-4:30pmPay: $22/hr-$25/hr (based upon experience.)View an example of a Press Brake Operator in action at this link:

    • Set up, operate, or tend machines to saw, cut, shear, slit, punch, crimp, notch, bend, or straighten metal or plastic material.
    • Examine completed work pieces for defects, such as chipped edges or marred surfaces and sort defective pieces according to types of flaws.
    • Measure completed work pieces to verify conformance to specifications, using micrometers, gauges, calipers, templates, or rulers.
    • Set stops on machine beds, change dies, and adjust components, such as rams or power presses, when making multiple or successive passes
    • Start machines, monitor their operations, and record operational data.
    • Test and adjust machine speeds or actions, according to product specifications, using gauges and hand tools.
    • Install, align, lock specified punches, dies, cutting blades, or other fixtures in rams or beds of machines, using gauges, templates, feelers, shims, and hand tools.
    • Read work orders or production schedules to determine specifications, such as materials to be used, locations of cutting lines, or dimensions and tolerances.
    • Position guides, stops, holding blocks, or other fixtures to secure and direct work pieces, using hand tools and measuring devices.
    • Position, align, and secure work pieces against fixtures or stops on machine beds or on dies.
    • Load work pieces, plastic material, or chemical solutions into machines.
    • Adjust ram strokes of presses to specified lengths, using hand tools.
    • Clean and lubricate machines.
    • Mark identifying data on work pieces.
    • Clean work area.
    Skills:
    • Machine Operation: Operate and maintain cutting and shaping machines.
    • Quality Control: Inspect and measure workpieces for defects and specifications.
    • Machine Maintenance: Perform routine machine cleaning and lubrication.
    • Tool and Fixture Setup: Install and align machine tools and fixtures accurately.
    • Reading and Interpretation: Read work orders and set up machines based on provided specifications.
    Qualifications
    • Must have two years or more experience Press Brake machines: Amada, Cincinnati, Trumpf.
    • Possess a minimum of 2 years' experience in set up, operating, or tending machines to saw, cut, shear, slit, punch, crimp, notch, bend, or straighten metal or plastic materials.
    • Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of product conversion, effective oral and written communication skills.
