    Description


    Neurona Therapeutics is a clinical stage biotechnology company based in South San Francisco, CA that was created to develop cell-based therapies for neurological disease.

    We have an opening for a Preclinical Research Associate who will contribute to ongoing programs and build new animal models to study modulation of neural circuits and support translational development of cellular therapeutics.

    Key Responsibilities:


    • Processing tissue for histology: Microtome and cryostat sectioning, staining, immunohistochemistry, imaging and quantitative analysis
    • Working with rodents including handling, dosing, surgical procedures, and tissue collection
    • Observation and scoring of behavioral assays
    • Following experimental protocols and maintaining detailed and accurate records
    • Analyzing data and communicating results
    • Conducting independent experiments and contributing to collaborative activities
    Required Qualifications:

    Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 1-2 years of relevant lab experience and supporting references that includes working with animals.



    Experience working with neural tissue is a plus

    Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to contribute to a team

    Clear, effective written and verbal communication

    High energy and passion for drug discovery and development
