Job Description

The Groundsman at Loyalty Inn Tallahassee is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and aesthetic appearance of the hotel's exterior grounds.

• Ensure that all exterior grounds, including parking lots, sidewalks, and landscaping, are clean and free of litter, debris, and hazards.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as mowing, edging, and trimming, to keep the grounds in pristine condition.
• Monitor and maintain plantings, including watering, fertilizing, and replacing plants as needed.
• Keep outdoor furniture, such as benches and tables, clean and presentable for guests.
• Notify management of any maintenance or safety issues that require attention.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while operating equipment and performing duties.
• Attend training and development programs to enhance skills and stay uptodate on industry best practices.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in groundskeeping or similar outdoor maintenance role.
• Basic knowledge of lawn care and landscaping techniques.
• Ability to operate maintenance equipment, such as lawn mowers and leaf blowers.
• Physically fit and able to perform duties that involve lifting, bending, and kneeling.
• Attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
• Customer service skills and the ability to work well with a team.
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
