    0MM square feet, over 160 properties, and over 250 buildings, valued at $1.Reporting to the Treasury Manager, the Senior Staff Accountant assists the business in overseeing its treasury functions.

    The role requires strict attention to detail and organizational acumen to manage and analyze intensive cash-related financial activities of the business.

    Duties include monitoring and updating banking transactions from multiple financial institutions, regularly downloading, analyzing, and formatting complex bank and financial data, and then preparing and maintaining workbooks used to import transactions into our accounting software (Yardi Voyager).

    To be a successful Senior Staff Accountant, you should be proficient in the full accounting cycle as the position will work in tandem with other integral departments within the company (i.e., Property Management, Facilities Maintenance, Construction and Corporate Accounting).

    A skilled Senior Accountant should also be comfortable with standard financial reports including general ledgers and trial balances.


    Treasury Accountant Responsibilities:

    • Prepare cash management reports for senior management per schedule.
    • Analyze and reconcile accounts including Bank Statement reconciliations
    • Record monthly expenses including bank transfer reimbursement checks.
    • Manage mortgage schedule and process monthly loan payments
    • Record and process accounting transactions (e.g., insurance and bank to bank transfers)
    • Document transactions and update ledgers and the financials database
    • Analyze accounting data to resolve account discrepancies
    • Senior Staff Accountant Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a similar field
    • A minimum of 4 years' experience as a Staff Accountant / Senior Accountant / Treasury Accountant or other accounting related position
    • Experience with online banking platforms & commercial real estate software (Yardi, MRI AppFolio, RealPage etc.)
    • Intermediate computer skills with programs such as MS Excel, MS Word, Outlook
    • Willingness and talent to work independently with minimal supervision
    • Strong financial and mathematic abilities
