The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and fostering a relationship with our suppliers and vendors. You will also oversee the implementation of the supply and production strategies.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Leading, developing and training the Purchasing department in best practice processes
Onsite .
Review, track, and oversee all purchase order activity for multiple locations across the U.S.
Monitoring inventory value levels to ensure efficient use of company funds
Collaborating with Operations & Sales to execute the company SiOPS plan
Coordinate expediting activities to optimize supplier on time delivery and minimize past due customer orders.
Assist in building the company's strategic sourcing plan and help to ensure seamless execution of it
Identify both hard and soft cost savings opportunities within the supply chain
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Purchasing and/or Sourcing
Prior proven experience leading a team of Buyers
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or a similar field
Strong computer skills, including the Microsoft Office suite
Forecasting experience
Good working knowledge of purchasing and inventory management best practices
Ability to analyze and solve problems
Ability to process computer data; format, and generate reports
Self-motivated, organized, and ability to manage time effectively
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
