- Supervise and mentor Diagnostic Medical Sonographers and Ultrasound Imaging Assistants, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow and quality patient care.
- Coordinate staffing schedules and assignments to meet departmental needs, including managing a team of 30-35 full-time, part-time, and casual staff members.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of staff, conducting regular performance reviews and providing ongoing feedback and coaching.
- Collaborate with departmental leadership to develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols to enhance the delivery of diagnostic imaging services.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, safety protocols, and quality assurance measures, maintaining accreditation requirements set forth by the American College of Radiology (ACR).
- Participate in the hiring and training of new staff members, ensuring that all team members are properly trained and equipped to perform their duties.
- Stay current with advancements in diagnostic imaging technology and techniques, providing training and education to staff as needed.

- Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an ultrasound department of equal or greater size and volume, performing vascular and diagnostic procedures.
- Alternatively, candidates with 10 years of experience in a hospital ultrasound department of equal or greater size and volume will be considered if they have not graduated from a CAAHEP-accredited program.
- Vascular Technologist (RVT) Diagnostic Medical Sonographers registration within 9 months of hire.
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certified.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider card.
- Demonstrated expertise in anatomy and physiology.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
