    The point we're getting at is it doesn't hurt to take a chance and applySummaryThe Server System Administrator will be responsible for the management, operation, maintenance, and support of Windows servers as directed by the designated Support Manager.

    This person will respond to server, storage, and network alarms and outages, dispatch to remote sites for troubleshooting and repairs as well as document network infrastructure, update and close trouble tickets, and document root cause of server, storage, and network issues.

    This Administrator will report to the Support Manager and team lead and will work closely with other members of the technology departments to support all technology at our client's sites.

    ResponsibilitiesPerform day-to-day administration and operational functions of the data center server environmentDesign, set up, configure, and troubleshoot Windows servers and other peripheral components to support all aspects of the day-to-day operations.

    Maintain system updates.
    Administer user access and security permissions.
    Day-to-day monitoring of the server, storage, and network environment.

    Documentation of Procedures and Networking of server environments (ensure that all network and server documentation is accurate and up to date)Document issue resolution using the helpdesk ticketing systemSubmit Request for Change forms when needed.

    Participate in Change Advisory Board meetingsInstall and configure hardware, and software and load new applications as neededMaintain excellent communication with all end-users and other members of the technology departmentAssist other team members in executing various project tasksWork with hardware break/fix vendor as neededExecute other assigned tasks as delegated by the Customer, Project Manager, and Team LeadRequirementsFive or more years of experience working with both physical and virtual (VMware/Hyper-V) servers.

    Hands-on experience in Windows OS security hardening and security best practicesStrong experience with VMware is preferred.
    Experience with VMware vCenter and vSphere is a plus.
    Good experience with distributed systems with a focus on achieving high availability and fault tolerance.
    Experience with Windows Servers, Active Directory, and VMWare.
    Hands-on experience with Data Protection solutions such as Veeam.
    Working knowledge of Palo Alto firewalls.
    Working knowledge of scripting languages such as Powershell.
    Experience using ServiceNow is a plus.

    Must be highly detail-oriented and organized with excellent analytical and problem-solving skillsMust have excellent customer service, written communication, and interpersonal skills.

    Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support.
    Driver's license required.
