    Job Title: Clinical Pharmacist
    Location: Laredo, TX

    Pay Range: $114,400 - $158,080
    Sign-On Bonus: $15,000
    Shift: Days 8A-5P (Monday-Friday, Coverage Required Every 3rd Weekend)
    Job Summary:

    Our client, a healthcare institution committed to excellence, is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to join the team. The Clinical Pharmacist will play a vital role in patient care, applying advanced pharmaceutical knowledge and clinical expertise to ensure optimal medication management.
    Requirements:
    • Pharm.D. or residency from an accredited institution.
    • PGY 1 Residency in Hospital.
    • Licensed to practice in the State of Texas.
    • A.C.P.E. accredited I.V. Certification, Completion of an accredited Residency in a Hospital Pharmacy (PGY1/PGY2).
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
    • Encouraged: Any Board of Pharmacy Specialty certifications.
    • Preferred: BCPS - Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist or any board certifications.
    • Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
    Responsibilities:
    • Medication Management: Provide clinical pharmacy services to optimize medication therapy, ensuring safe and effective drug utilization.
    • Patient Care: Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop and implement patient-specific medication treatment plans, considering patient needs and therapeutic goals.
    • I.V. Certification: Maintain A.C.P.E. accredited I.V. Certification and ensure compliance with standards for intravenous medication preparation.
    • Residency Training: Apply knowledge and skills acquired through completion of an accredited Residency in a Hospital Pharmacy (PGY1/PGY2) to enhance patient care.
    • Board Certification: Pursue and maintain relevant Board of Pharmacy Specialty certifications, with preference for BCPS or other board certifications.
    • Compliance: Ensure compliance with state regulations and licensing requirements, practicing within the scope of licensure.
    • Education: Provide education to healthcare professionals, patients, and caregivers on medication therapy and management.
    • Quality Improvement: Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives, evaluating and enhancing pharmacy services.
