- Apply software engineering principles to develop high-quality code in C++ and other languages for embedded software based on cFS and embedded Linux.
- Perform code maintenance, testing, and analysis, implement software enhancements, and debug complex heritage software.
- Demonstrate curiosity in software architecture and spacecraft software development, with strong adaptability and effective communication skills for collaboration with diverse engineering teams.
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in engineering or a related technical field is required, along with 5+ years of complex software development experience; equivalent experience may substitute for education.
- Must have a strong grasp of software development concepts and theory, proficiency in C/C++, Python, and experience with embedded software in resource-constrained environments and embedded Linux.
- Familiarity with GIT, Agile development, Linux, and Windows environments is necessary.
- Experience designing real-time embedded Flight Software (FSW) and firmware for satellite systems, including NASA cFS, is desirable, as is experience with ground software for satellite systems.
