    Job DescriptionWelder will join, fabricate, and repair metal and other materials by applying appropriate techniques using various welding devices. Responsible for assembling or repairing damaged pieces of metal using machinery that emits high heat temperatures. Sets up components for welding according to specifications.

    Main Responsibilities:
    Proficient in blue print reading except geometric tolerancingFully proficient with FCAW and SMAW.

    Able to set parameters to optimize the operation of the process(s)Able to produce high quality weldsGrinds parts as needed per drawing and verbal instructionCapable of operating gas cutting and air arc gouging process on all but the most challenging applicationsAble to weld using larger wire sizes in many situationsKeeps equipment and work area clean and orderlyKeeps Supervisor informed of problems regarding work piece, schedule, safety, etc.

    High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
