- Completes credentialing applications for new providers and ensure accurate and timely submission to insurance payers
- Monitors and tracks the status of credentialing applications to ensure timely approval
- Maintains provider credentialing files and databases to ensure all information is accurate and up-to-date
- Communicates with insurance payers and provider representatives to resolve any credentialing issues or discrepancies
- Coordinates with internal department to gather necessary information for credentialing applications
- Assists with re-credentialing and re-validation processes for existing providers
- Collaborates with billing department to ensure accurate reimbursement for services rendered
- Stays current on healthcare industry trends and changes in credentialing requirement
- Minimum of two years of experience in healthcare credentialing
- Working knowledge of credentialing processes and requirements for insurance payers
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and credentialing software
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance requirements

About the Role:
The Credentialing Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all healthcare providers in our practice are credentialed and enrolled with insurance payers, as well as maintaining and updating provider credentialing information.
