    Position Description

    Are you passionate about bringing new technology to meet customer needs? Are you excited by the opportunity to join a rapidly growing company at an early stage? Exum Instruments is seeking an Applications and Customer Support Technician to drive revenue growth and support a scaling organization. Responsibilities include:

    Drive customer success by leading customer installation, training, and application development

    • Travel to customer locations for initial installations, service calls, training, and applications development
    • Assist customers by running samples, processing data, generating reports
    • Train customers in best practices

    Support the analytical / demo team

    • Perform routine sample preparation
    • Help run routine demos
    • Support data processing and reporting
    • Become proficient in routine sample quantitation
    • Assist with instrument characterization experiments
    • Support ISO work including running weekly/monthly routine control samples and developing statistics

    Assist the assembly team

    • Assist with a full assembly
    • Assist with QC/QA

    Other duties as required

    Position Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related field
    • 2-10 years of experience maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and using analytical instruments that analyze solid materials (e.g., XRF, LIBS, SEM-EDX, LA-ICP-MS etc.)
    • Experience with mass spectrometry and/or laser ablation is highly preferred
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to travel for 80% of the year or more depending on company needs
    • Thrive in a dynamic and ever-changing environment, while still progressing toward a holistic company strategy
    • Be a strong teammate, but still a self-starter who can execute with minimal supervision/guidance
    • As required by law, employment with Exum Instruments is subject to satisfactory proof of the right to work in the United States. Currently, Exum Instruments is not sponsoring work visas for this position.

    Position Location

    This position is based in Denver but will require significant travel.
