Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced
Teamcenter Admin Lead
to take ownership of our Siemens Teamcenter PLM environment. This leadership role requires a seasoned professional who can manage day-to-day administration, lead system upgrades, support enterprise-wide implementations, and serve as the subject matter expert for all Teamcenter operations. The ideal candidate will balance technical administration with stakeholder management while ensuring system stability, security, and optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities

System Administration & Maintenance

  • Lead installation, configuration, and maintenance of Siemens Teamcenter environments across all tiers (2-Tier and 4-Tier architecture)
  • Administer Teamcenter PLM environments across Development, QA, UAT, and Production
  • Manage Active Workspace deployments and configure components for optimal user experience
  • Monitor system health, performance, and integrations with CAD systems (NX, SolidWorks, CATIA)
  • Implement and manage Business Modeler IDE (BMIDE) maintenance and modifications
  • Configure and maintain Dispatchers, SSL, SSO, and authentication mechanisms
  • Ensure system uptime, performance optimization, and minimal downtime

Upgrade & Migration Leadership

  • Plan and execute Teamcenter upgrades, maintenance patches, and major version migrations
  • Lead environment migrations ensuring seamless transitions across all stages
  • Coordinate with Siemens GTAC (Global Technical Access Center) for technical guidance
  • Manage release planning, deployment execution, and documentation
  • Conduct thorough testing (Unit and Integration) post-upgrades

Integration & Customization

  • Configure and maintain CAD integrations including IPEM and NX frameworks
  • Manage Teamcenter Visualization and related visualization tools
  • Oversee integrations with third-party applications and digital manufacturing tools
  • Implement workflow customizations, access controls, and preference configurations
  • Deploy new features including Supplier Collaboration Framework

User Support & Training

  • Serve as primary escalation point for Teamcenter-related issues
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for end-users across the organization
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive user training programs
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation for processes, configurations, and solutions
  • Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions to improve adoption and efficiency

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead and mentor junior administrators and technical team members
  • Collaborate with engineering, IT, and business stakeholders on PLM strategy
  • Work with cross-functional teams globally to align Teamcenter capabilities with organizational needs
  • Manage vendor relationships and coordinate with external partners on integrations
  • Provide input on licensing, infrastructure planning, and system architecture

Data Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with industry standards
  • Implement and maintain access controls, user roles, and permissions
  • Support audit requirements and maintain compliance with company policies
  • Manage data migration, cleansing, and synchronization processes
  • Maintain Teamcenter as the authoritative source for engineering data.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • 10+ years
    of hands-on experience in Teamcenter administration and PLM support
  • Proven experience managing production Teamcenter environments
  • Strong background in leading upgrades, migrations, and complex implementations
  • Experience with distributed Teamcenter environments across multiple locations .

Technical Skills

  • Expert-level knowledge
    of Siemens Teamcenter architecture (2-Tier and 4-Tier)
  • Proficiency in Teamcenter installation and configuration using Deployment Centre
  • Strong understanding of BMIDE, Workflows, Preferences, and Access Manager
  • Experience with Active Workspace Client configuration and administration
  • Knowledge of CAD integration frameworks (IPEM, NX integrations)
  • Familiarity with Teamcenter Visualization tools
  • Understanding of client-level customization using Java and server-level customization using ITK
  • Experience with Linux and Windows server environments
  • Knowledge of SQL scripting and database management
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) is a plus
