If you are interested in a Registered Nurse (RN) position in the Vascular Interventional Radiology Unit (VIR), this might be the perfect chance for you. We are looking for a highly skilled RN to join our team on a full-time day shift from Monday to Friday, with on-call duties.

We provide flexible schedules where you can opt for either three 12-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts. Once the team is complete, there will be no weekend or holiday requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Peri-procedural nursing care for outpatients and inpatients undergoing Interventional Radiology procedures.
Administering conscious sedation, monitoring hemodynamics, handling vented and critical care patients.
Recovering pediatric and adult patients in Phase 1 anesthesia.
Utilizing and accessing central venous devices.

Desired Skills/Abilities:

Critical care experience with ACLS and/or PALS preferred.

Education/License/Experience Requirements:

Associates Degree required.
1-3 years of RN experience needed.
Active NYS Registered Nurse license.

Implementing physician orders, administering medications, starting IVs, performing treatments and procedures, and documenting treatments following company policies and regulations. Ordering, interpreting, and evaluating diagnostic tests. Assessing patient needs and responses to care, applying sound judgment in patient care management. Providing primary and emergency care, administering medications, collaborating on patient care plans, guiding ancillary personnel, and maintaining nursing standards.
