- Inspect electrical equipment, wiring, fixtures, and other components of street lighting to ensure it remains functional and are up to code, as well as to identify any hazards or issues
- Determine the reasons for any malfunctions of systems or components.
- Hands-on work with electrical tools and equipment, such as voltmeters, line locators, and ohmmeters to ensure the system remains safe and that components are compatible
- Utilize proprietary software to record all maintenance and repair work conducted, including a record of any supplies ordered and used
- Be available for on-call emergency rotation typically one week per month
- Safely and efficiently complete assigned tasks on a daily basis including street lighting repairs, replacements, troubleshooting, etc
- New Mexico Journeyman License
- Driver's License
- Certified DMV Records for past 3 years
- CDL preferred but not required
- Must be able to perform electrical maintenance
- Strong working knowledge of current electrical standards and regulations
- Demonstrable ability to use electrical hand tools (e.g., wire strippers, voltmeter etc.) and read electrical drawings and blueprints
- DOT physical required
- Bucket Truck experience preferred
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability
- Strong organizational skills
- Must be available for 24-hour emergency response during scheduled on-call rotation
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 a plus
