Preconstruction Director - Greenville, United States - Clancy & Theys

Description

As part of the divisional management team, this position acts as a key leader in the entire work acquisition process including management, coordination, and delivery of the preconstruction phases of the project and extensive client contact; and requires experience mentoring and growing a preconstruction team, and experience leading preconstruction on projects in excess of $75 Million.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or equivalent/applicable degree;
• 10+ years' preconstruction experience with large, complex projects;
• Multi-family, commercial, healthcare and education experience preferred;
• Technology proficient, with the ability to adapt to new innovations and processes;
• Communication, negotiation and client relationship skills;
• Creative problem-solving skills; and
• Able to work in a highly diverse and inclusive environment.

• Manage the preconstruction process and resources;
• Work closely with your team, including mentoring and developing direct reports;
• Maintain collaborative relationships with clients, designers, engineers, consultants and subcontractors;
• Produce conceptual estimates for clients across multiple sectors;
• Facilitate and manage the value management process throughout design development; and
• Proactively engage in business development.
