    Your Opportunity as National Account Manager, Kroger (US Retail Sales-Pet Team)You will be the Sales lead for the Kroger Pet strategic business with goals to drive profitable sales growth for both Smucker & Kroger

    Location:
    Candidates must reside within one of the following areas for consideration: Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky area (within 1 hour of major airport)

    Work Arrangements:

    Working from home office and up to 15% expected travelIn this role you will: Business ManagementBuild and maintain relationships within Kroger.

    Build & maintain relationship with all internal constituents at J.M.

    SmuckerDevelop strategies to drive brand/category growth and achieve or exceed sales/profit goalsOwn & lead negotiation for Joint Business Planning, CPI, 3CM, new items, key initiatives, etc.

    Influence key stakeholders to implement solutions through fact-based presentations that deliver results that are beneficial for both companiesSupport and partner with Supply Chain team to drive solutions at KrogerGrow partnership between customer and internal cross-functional teams to drive innovation and business opportunitiesExecute all agreed to programming with customer to include, Kroger forms, item setup/ maintenance, online content, logistics and inventory management, etc.

    Understand retailer omnichannel marketplace and brand growth opportunitiesBusiness Planning & AnalysisOwn annual business plans & Kroger Joint Business PlanningPerform in-depth analysis of sales and profit components, including merchandising, promotional and supply chain opportunitiesWork with syndicated/other data sources to manage and inform strategic and tactical Trade plansManage internal sales system (promotions, deductions, forecast, etc)Effectively manage trade budget with accuracy and timely visibilityForecast monthly and quarterly sales and communicate internally for production planningCommunication and alignment with Sales Director on growth opportunitiesAd-hoc financial and data analysis, including pre/post event analysisDrive business process improvements by working closely with cross-functional business partners and teamAssist in development of business analyst(s) supporting the accountThe Right Place for YouWe are bold, kind, strive to do the right thing, we play to win, and we believe in a strong community that thrives together.

    What we are looking for:

    Minimum Requirements:
    Bachelor's degree5+ years of CPG sales experience with direct national account HQ management experienceProven leader in negotiation successStrong technical skills using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Powerpoint)

    Experience managing trade budget within Trade Planning SoftwareProficient in use of syndicated data sources (IRI/Nielsen) and Kroger data sources Market 6 and StratumExcellent oral & written communication skills (negotiation, selling, presentations, etc)Ability to travel up to 15% of work scheduleAdditional skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role:
