    Description

    GEICO is seeking a Manager, Agile Delivery Lead, with experience in Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe methodologies to support Agile Release Trains by providing visibility to feature deliverables, coach ART members on delivery best practices all while communicating with leaders across the organization on delivery status.

    Position Description:

    Our Manager, Agile Delivery Lead, works to ensure the teams' delivery success by leveraging the appropriate Agile methodology to enable predictable, quality delivery while maintaining a focus on the continuous improvement of the team. The Agile Delivery Lead will optimize team productivity by removing impediments that may obstruct the pursuit of the team's goals and by preserving flexibility and ability to rapidly respond to changes on the team.

    Position Responsibilities

    As a Manager, Agile Delivery Lead, you will:

    Delivery

    • Support one or more software engineering teams through Kanban/Scrum Agile methodologies
    • Ensure team(s) maintains focus on quality and continuous delivery
    • Provide visibility into delivery targets, commitments, and progress
    • Be well managed – understand and coach the team on delivery controls, compliance to minimize operational, and reputational risk
    • Understand domain architecture and targets to identify upstream and downstream dependencies and to support the team in risk management
    • Proactively identify impediments and appropriately resolves using network of peers and formal channels (including escalation if required)
    • Support Release Train Engineers, Product & Tech Teams to remove impediments and manage dependencies for delivery

    Coaching

    • Integrate Agile and Lean principles into team practices and work products
    • Coach Product Owner and team on backlog refinement and prioritization
    • Utilize team feedback and metrics (quality, delivery rate, etc.) to identify areas of opportunity and works with team to continuously improve
    • Innovate with practices and frameworks through experimentation to improve the team and their delivery
    • Develop understanding and encouragement of team's engineering innovation and improvement (engineering practices, DevOps, etc.)
    • Coach the team to improve collaboration and self-organization
    • Develop the ability to act as a mentor and coach to team members and other Agile Delivery Leads
    • Agile and Technical Learning: Actively seek and participate in a variety of learning opportunities such as Communities of Practice, conferences, classroom training, and independent study to further develop self and community
    • Communicate with leaders across the organization on a regular basis to ensure transparency into delivery, risks, issues, etc.

    Qualifications:

    • Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), or PMI's Agile Certified Professional (ACP) certification
    • SAFe certified or experience (or other scaled Agile frameworks)

    Experience:

    • At least 4 years of experience as an Agile Delivery Lead (or Scrum Master) (5+ years preferred)
    • At least 3 years of Agile Tech Delivery experience utilizing Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe methodologies (4+ years preferred)
    • 3+ years of experience with workflow management tools, such as Azure Dev Ops
    • 2+ years of Agile coaching experience

    Education:

    Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

    Annual Salary

    $110, $236,500.00

    The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate's work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
