    The Role:

    Medix is currently looking for a self-driven, analytical and problem solving Junior Analytics Engineer to assist our Business Intelligence and Analytics Teams. The ideal candidate for this role will have experience designing, implementing, and optimizing data analytics solutions on Snowflake. Close collaboration will be required with the Business Intelligence, Analytics, Product and IT teams.

    What You'll Do:

    • Developing, managing, and monitoring the Snowflake data platform and related data architecture
    • Creating complex ELT/ETL scripts to perform data integration with data lake and data warehouse
    • Implementing database design and reporting design principles based on requirements.
    • Building complex data models for use in business analysis, Tableau reporting and web application tools
    • Gathering business requirements to develop data solutions.
    • Troubleshooting data warehouse production environment by debugging issues and creating automations where possible
    • Supporting all levels of the organization through ad-hoc requests ensuring consistent, timely and accurate information delivery

    What You'll Need:

    • 0-3 years of experience as a Data Engineer / Analytics Engineer / BI Analyst
    • Moderate SQL experience with an interest in building complex analytical models and queries
    • Experience with our data stack: Fivetran, dbt, Snowflake, Tableau
    • Familiar with engineering best practices including version control (Git/GitHub), sprint planning / kanbans (Jira/Monday), data modeling, data quality testing (dbt tests), data governance, and documentation (dbt docs/mkdocs)
    • 0-3 years experience in database management, data architecture, data structures, supporting automation, system deployment or technical integration between platforms

    Qualities:

    • Enjoy learning new tools and technologies to solve new problems
    • Good communication skills; being able to speak lamen with stakeholders
    • Ability to switch between and simultaneously work on different projects

    Compensation: DOE - $60-$100K - 2-3 days in office in Chicago or Oak Brook, IL
