    Junior Planner

    As a Junior Planner you will be in control of checking in deliveries up to the final close of the trip, and co-ordinate all activities associated with receiving and dispatching goods in line with customer requirements, standards and service levels.

    You will be working a few days as a planner and a few days as a transportation specialist.

    This individual will consistently contribute to NewCold's key performance areas, customer satisfaction, productivity, accuracy, while maintaining a positive work environment.

    To create and develop a professional culture on site, in line with our values and ensure that a positive attitude to Health & Safety is embedded within the team on site.


    What you will be doing:
    Orders are received and dispatched in line with customer and company guidelines and procedures
    Inbound and outbound orders are received and dispatched in a timely manner in line with customer and company targets and KPIs of service and quality
    Work with warehouse team when needed to help maintain an efficient smooth workflow
    Using the systems in the agreed way, while managing quality issues on behalf of the customer. These quality issues relate to service and stock.
    Working with customers and carriers to ensure customer delivery requirements are achieved
    Working with Shift Leader and Operator to ensure optimum work flows and efficiencies take place in all warehouse activities
    Work with carrier representatives and warehouse team to ensure prompt and accurate loading and unloading
    Work to ensure picking, loading and unloading activities are completed in a timely manner
    Use the systems in the most efficient way to create a smooth flow of product in and out of the high bay
    Act in line with agreed procedures for ensuring quality of product is maintained at all times in line with customer requirements (temperature, damages etc)
    Assisting the operation as required by the site, including:
    Assist colleagues in carrying out tasks as required
    Helping maintain a clean and tidy work environment
    Continually look to opportunities for improvements
    Check in and out all Haulers using MLS.
    Assist with Starting and Closing of Outbound shipments
    Assist in filing all load paperwork in filing cabinets.
    Set up all customer pickups and deliveries in the MLS system.
    File paperwork in appropriate areas, cycle full file boxes into storage.
    Distribute documentation to appropriate party.
    Ensure the accuracy of all documents.

    What you bring to the table:
    Educational Requirements
    High School Degree
    Experience Requirements
    3+ years of Microsoft Office Suite Programs (word, excel, outlook)
    Must be at a minimum of intermediate level on computer proficiency
    Experience with 10 key calculator, telephones, photocopiers, etc
    Schedule
    This position will be filling a Graveyard or Swing schedule
    Physical Requirements
    Must be able to lift and carry 20 lbs
    Must be able to sit for 8 hours time
