Overview
GovCIO is currently hiring for Systems Engineer to support our client's contract needs. This position is located in the Washington, DC and will be an hybrid remote position.

Responsibilities

• Applies a substantial knowledge of computer capabilities and programming principles to analyze, collect evaluate, and organize information with an organization and convert it to programmable form
• Designs and develops computer software for simple to moderately complex computer systems or portions of large integrated systems
• Researches, designs, and documents software and business process specifications based on requirements and design sessions
• Transforms information gathered into documents such as requirements and detailed design
• Develops, configures, implements, and supports software development and business process automation efforts
• Prepares and/or updates software development lifecycle documents
• Prepares detailed flowcharts, writes program code, test and implement software
• Assist in the preparation of input and test data
• Responds to and troubleshoots problems through discussion with users
• Includes problem recognition, research, isolation and resolution steps; and able to resolve problems and implement solutions immediately
• Prepares project schedules for tasks; this includes the review of task performance and work products for correctness, for adherence to design concepts and user requirements, and for progress in accordance with schedules

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, or a related field with - 8 years (or commensurate experience)

Required Skills and Experience

• Must have five years of progressive experience in systems analysis and computer programming in highly complex and broad-based information technology (IT) settings providing in-depth subject matter expertise and an ability to translate these into system requirements, systems architecture, research, development and test tasks
• Experience must include all lifecycle phases of software development including soliciting requirements, design, development, testing and software development and technical support
• Four (4) years of experiencein programming and system design

Posted Pay Range

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity.

The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process.

If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Posted Salary Range
USD $85, USD $95,000.00 /Yr.
